Grainger County Alternative Center
Mr. Kip Combs, Principal

The mission of the Grainger County Alternative School is to identify and work with at-risk students who are having difficulty functioning in their regular school. The Alternative School will work in conjunction with parents/guardians, principals, teachers and counselors to identify and target goals and objectives that students need to work with. This plan will then be utilized as a guide to enable students to make needed modifications in overall behavior, academic achievement, therapeutic/counseling issues and attendance. The Alternative School is designed to be a short term (8-45 days) behavior modification program. The goal is to enable students the opportunity to change their behavior in order to be successful upon returning to their regular school.
